Binibecca Vell–Menorca

Binibecca and Cala Torrent form “Binibecca Nou” which is along the coast from Biniancolla and next to Binibecca Vell. Binibecca Vell was built in the 1960’s in the form of a traditional Spanish fishing village with small houses (white with blue doors and windows) and narrow passages between them. Wikipedia notes that there is very little in the way of commercial development but that is changing – well, it has changed completely. There is now very little that isn’t commercial development and Binibecca Vell feels like a “life size model village”. It is interesting to visit but it is kept a little too perfect for a fishing village.
