Mallorca – Mountains (II)

Without the time to repeat the high level crossing from Valdemossa to Soller over the Es Teix massif we could only look at the summits from afar.

Es Teix is the highest point on the skyline and the high level route just follows the skyline before dropping into Soller below – at least that is what the route description implied. Our experience, on a previous visit, was that the “dropping in” part of the route is a little more difficult to find but it is a fantastic day out.

We did go back Alfabia to repeat (on 27th October) the traverse we first did on 27th October 2006 – our first long route on Mallorca. More used to the way marking and cairns, we spent less time wandering about lost on the climb to the ridge and, again, thoroughly a long quiet day out.
